Nation Media Group Pays Courtesy Call to the Vice Chancellor

Fostering lasting relationships with industry players is one key agenda of Kibabii University. On Wednesday 13th January, 2021, a team of top managers from Nation Media Group (NMG) led by the Commercial Manager Ms. Mercy Kamunya visited the University in pursuit of collaborations towards mutual benefits in areas of sports and student talents, internship placements, research and community outreach. The Vice chancellor Prof. Isaac Ipara Odeo welcomed the collaboration and encouraged speedy execution of ideas that will go a long way in nurturing learners and alumni of Kibabii University. “An institution of higher learning has a lot to showcase. We place high emphasis and resources in achieving our vision. This informs why we have invested heavily towards research activities in science, technology and innovation. We are also glad that our university sits in a region with immense talents in sports, music and drama. Our students have won accolades in the region and continent, with one qualifying to represent Africa in Tokyo Olympics in Taekwondo. It will be our pleasure to tell our stories to the world through your media outlets,” Prof Ipara said. Out of previous engagements, the Nation Media Group has employed John Macharia as Assistant Producer, and Stephen Keter as Studio Technical Operator and NTV. Both are graduates of Journalism of Mass Communication.
