Kibabii University played host to farmers, community leaders and industry players on Friday 3rd June, 2022 in the University. The meeting is an annual event focused at bridging the gap between the University and the stakeholders. This year, the event themed “Cohesive environment for sustainable business growth”, delved into various topics including National Values and Principles of Governance; Procurement Processes of Kibabii University and Strategies for Business Start-ups.
Organized by the Community Outreach Committee, the workshop was officially opened by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Isaac Ipara Odeo.
In his address, Prof. Ipara illuminated on the importance of the Institution in development.
“The University has contributed to the security, infrastructural development and growth of business opportunities”, he noted.
Being an election year, the VC urged all to observe cohesiveness and embrace variances of political ideologies.
“A cohesive environment will assure a seamless business environment. This is the year Kenya must stand and get counted on our commitment to peace and responsible pre and post election conduct. As a university, we pledge to involve and support you in achieving this and in disseminating this message”, he said.
