Newly Unveiled Student Centre to Upscale Learners’ Entrepreneurships and Hospitality Experience

Kibabii University opened its doors to new a Student Centre on Wednesday 12th October 2022. The one-and-half year project worth KES. 83million was officially opened by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Isaac Ipara Odeo accompanied by members of the University Management, staff and student representatives.

The facility hosts amenities such as Student Affairs offices, Student Governing Council Board room, snack shops, printing and services, money transfer services, barber shops and a students’ cafeteria. In addition, the Centre has an indoor sports arena consisting of indoors games ranging from darts, scrabble, table tennis, badminton, taekwondo, karate, aerobics centre among others. The exterior environment boasts of well manicured yard with well-lit gazebos depicting a student cantered out-of-class experience for learners.

While addressing the press, the Vice Chancellor recognized the good gesture of the Government of Kenya through the Ministry for Education for continually supporting projects for the young, fast rising University. He also acknowledged the contractors for timely completion of the project.

“This unveiling gives us more confidence for better results from our athletes. The exposure to these new facilities will complement our outstanding performance in international competitions and the general physical wellness of the students’ community. We also believe that with the extension of entrepreneurial opportunities to our students, the living experience in the University will become memorable and less burdening,” he said.
