The event laid a platform for the University to highlight critical achievements in the past year; including research and innovation by staff and faculty, internationalization, human resourcing, and other developments in students’ performances in co-curricular activities. Notably, in a second attempt after the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, the University is preparing athletes to compete in the Olympics 2024.

In his address, the Vice Chancellor Prof. Isaac Ipara Odeo emphasized on the University’s commitment to open communication and collaboration with the media. He acknowledged the critical role journalists play in society and called upon them to explore the vast potential for news stories within the University. He encouraged journalists to explore the wealth of research and innovation opportunities within the University, presenting them with the potential to uncover captivating stories for a global audience.
