Kibabii University student leadership visited Bungoma County Governor, Hon. W.W. Wangamati at his office. The delegation was led by the Senior Assistant Dean of Students, Mr. Benson Murumba Nasongo, assisted by the SOKU Chair, Mr. Collins Simiyu. This followed a request by the student leaders through our Vice Chancellor, Prof. Isaac Ipara Odeo. The Agenda of the meeting was to give the student leaders a forum to raise certain pertinent issues /challenges facing fellow comrades, especially those staying in the community. They wished to enlist the singular support of the County Government in addressing a myriad of welfare issues/ challenges affecting them. These included improved feeder roads, proper security lights, steady supply of water, support student activities like sports, cultural week events, co-curricular activities; more land for institutional expansion ( Sang’alo land), among others. The Governor promised to consider working more closely with the University to actualize the requests made.
