KIBU Innovation and Incubation Hub
Kibabii University (KIBU) invites Students, Staff and Other Internal and External Stakeholders to KIBU Innovation and Incubation Hub (KIBU Hub). The Hub was established courtesy of the Erasmus + Programme of the European Union’s African Higher Education Leadership in Advancing Inclusive Innovation for Development (AHEAD) Project) in February 2020.
The Innovation and Incubation Hub is located in Main campus SHB 6 Room 003 adjacent to KIBU Sacco Offices.
The Hub is supported by a team well trained and experienced internal and external innovation and entrepreneurship mentors including KIBU Alumni. We welcome all to visit the Hub to start the journey of transforming our ideas into tangible commercial products/services for societal transformation.
So far eight (8) innovations by students and staff (including three from the AHEAD Project Student Innovation Competition 2020) are under incubation at the Hub:
- Poultry Disease Detection System
- Microbial Fuel Cell
- The Eagle Poultry Farm
- Business Plan Canvas
- Production of Charcoal Briquettes
- Sewerage Monitoring and Alert System
- Exceptional Citizens Application
- Powered Vegetable Drier
