On Monday 28th October, 2024, the Office of the Registrar, Administration, and Human Resources held an induction workshop for 9 newly hired staff alongside 18 staff members recently promoted and allocated new job assignments. The Workshop aimed to provide the staff with the necessary knowledge and resources to excel in their roles while reinforcing the values and goals that define the University’s mission.
The event was officially opened by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Isaac Ipara Odeo, who highlighted the core functions and mandate of KIBU. He reaffirmed the University’s commitment to fair and inclusive hiring practices, particularly in support of marginalized, while emphasizing KIBU’s dedication to recruiting only the most qualified candidates.
The inductees went through various topics namely; the University policies and staff benefits, terms and conditions of employment. In addition, the staff were taken through mental health awareness, customer service-oriented culture, and promoting national values and principles that strengthen national cohesion. They were also taken through the importance of financial disclosure, corruption eradication, and personal financial management.
