Kibabii University is hosting Kenya National Taekwondo training camp. The team is preparing for all African Games that will take place in Morocco (August-September, 2019) and World Olympic Games in Tokyo-Japan in 2020. The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Isaac Ipara Odeo officially opened the camp on 28th June, 2019. In attendance was the Vice President World Taekwondo Africa, President Kenya Taekwondo Federation, Major (Rtd) Suleiman Sumba.
The team is being trained on
- Fitness test (cardiovascular endurance test and muscle endurance test)
- Flexibility tests
- Human anatomy
- Motor stills development
- Stretches
- Circuit training
- Aqua taekwondo among other skills
The training camp will end on 6th July, 2019
