The Kibabii University community celebrates Waidah Nechesa Mulah, a student-athlete whose remarkable achievements in Taekwondo continue to bring honour, pride, and recognition to the University at regional, national, and international levels.
At the regional level, Ms. Waidah played a pivotal role during the Western University Conference Games, where she delivered outstanding performances and demonstrated exemplary sportsmanship. Building on this momentum, Waidah advanced to the national stage and delivered a stellar performance at the Kenya University Sports Federation (KUSF) National Games held at the University of Eldoret from 15th to 20th December 2025. Her exceptional skill and unwavering focus earned her a well-deserved Gold Medal, crowning her as one of the top university Taekwondo athletes in the country. This achievement marked a defining moment in her sporting career and served as a source of immense pride for the entire Kibabii University fraternity.
Earlier in the same month, Waidah had also represented the University at the Under-21 Taekwondo Championship held at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, Nairobi, from 3rd to 6th December 2025. Competing among the nation’s most promising young athletes, she demonstrated remarkable courage, technical excellence, and competitive spirit, further affirming her status as one of the country’s rising Taekwondo stars.
Her consistent excellence at regional and national levels earned her the honour of competing internationally at the 4th Mt. Everest International Taekwondo Championships held on 16th February 2026 at Dashrath Stadium, Nepal. Facing elite competitors from across the globe, Waidah displayed exceptional resilience, discipline, and technical mastery to secure a Bronze Medal.
