Vice Chancellor Welcomes over 3,000 Freshmen in his Address

Kibabii University opened its doors to over 3,000 new students in the 2024/2025 Academic Year. The admission and registration exercise which commenced on 19th August, 2024 was crowned by the Vice Chancellor’s Address on Friday 30th August 2024 after a weeklong orientation programme, marking the start of their academic journey.

In his welcoming address, Vice Chancellor Prof. Isaac Ipara Odeo expressed his excitement in the incoming class, acknowledging their hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence that earned them a place in the University.

The VC highlighted the importance of making the right choices, reminding students that Kibabii University is a student-friendly institution committed to their present and future success. He encouraged the freshmen to focus on their studies, take advantage of the new funding model, cooperate with the University staff, and maintain modesty and discipline.

The Vice Chancellor emphasized the value of unity, quoting Mother Teresa: “I can do things you cannot, you can do things I cannot; together we can do great things.”

He also urged students to adhere to the University’s code of conduct, reminding them of their responsibilities and the consequences of neglecting them. He wished the freshmen a successful and fulfilling time at Kibabii University, concluding with a heartfelt congratulations and blessings for their future endeavors.
