Kibabii University choir officials present award winning trophies and certificates to the University Management on 4th March, 2019 in the VC’s boardroom. The team scoped seven trophies during the 92nd edition of the Kenya National Music Festival held at Dedan Kimathi University of Technology on 9th– 17th August 2018. The best winning items that also scored highest marks during the festival were:

- Folksong from Rest of Africa
- Kenyan folk song
- The 4 agenda choral verse
- Taarabu song
- Terrorism Choral Verse
- Folk dance from Rest of Africa-Gala
