Postgraduate Scholar’s Abstract Paper Nominated for The East African Community Presidential Awards

Kibabii University’s Stephen Ogonda has been nominated for The East African Community Presidential Awards after his Abstract Paper was accepted and nominated for the Awards. This comes months after the postgraduate student in the Department of Social Sciences attended and successfully completed the virtual training in EAC Regional Entrepreneurship Skills Development Training Organized by the East African Science & Technology Commission, (EASTECO) between 27th June to 1st July 2022.

The EAC Regional Youth Innovation Forum is being organized by EASTECO with support and in collaboration with 

stakeholders of Sceience, Technology and Innovation (STI) in the region and globally, including GIZ, Ministries responsible for STI, National Councils/Commissions of Science and Technology and is scheduled to take place in Kampala Uganda, between 8th to 10th November, 2022 under the “Theme: Unlocking Youth Development Potential Through Innovations”.

The Forum will set ground for young people to catalyze effective engagements in steering the course of future developments within the East African Community through innovations, and understand the challenges and opportunities associated with the promotion of youth talent in technological development and innovation for the regional marketplace and globally.

“The purpose of this study is to investigate how farmers can put small available pieces of land under maximum utilization so as to realize improved and adequate food supply in informal settlements around Kenya. Strategies have been formulated both nationally and internationally to make it possible for people around the globe to be able to produce and put more food on table while the surplus is saved for future use.
