National Drama Fete

The 2019 edition of the Kenya National Drama and Film Festival is here once again. And the host is Kibabii University. According the Kenya Film Classification Board, the festival will see more than 25,000 learners from ECD level to tertiary level compete at the national fete. This years’ event will focus more on talent and instilling morals to the youth. This is according to KFCB C.E.O Dr. Ezekiel Mutua.

Kibabii university arts troupe secured a slot at the national event after winning in all 9 items presented at St. Stephens Lwanya Girls in Busia on 9th March 2019-regional level. Among the items presented were, a solo verse, mime, choral verse, narrative, spoken word, creative cultural dance, modern dance and a Kiswahili and English play. And as the arts troupe continue with their preparations, hopes are high that most of the items will win at the national fete.

Allan Mudachi and Maureen Wambere were named the best male and female actors respectively at regional level.
