My journey at Kibabii University as a Master’s student in Early Childhood Development and Education (ECDE) has been one of transformation, growth, and deep fulfilment. Joining the university for the 2024/2025 academic year marked the beginning of a chapter that not only strengthened my academic foundation but also shaped my professional identity as an educator and advocate for young learners.
Throughout my studies, I had the privilege of highly skilled lecturers whose dedication, mentorship and passion for ECDE enriched my learning experience. Their guidance challenged me to think critically, conduct meaningful research and develop innovative approaches that respond to the evolving needs of early childhood education in Kenya. The supportive academic environment at Kibabii University empowered me to advance both my theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
My experience extended beyond the classroom. Engaging in group discussions, workshops, field experiences, and various university activities allowed me to connect with fellow students who shared the same passion for early childhood education. These interactions widened my perspectives, enriched collaboration skills and fostered friendships that will last a lifetime.
The university’s conducive learning environment, modern resources, and commitment to academic excellence play a key role in my success. I gained confidence, leadership abilities, and the professional competence required to contribute effectively to the ECDE sector.
As a proud alumna of Kibabii University I leave with a renewed sense of purpose and responsibility. My time here has inspired me to champion quality early childhood education, promote child Welfare, and support community-driven initiatives that uplift young learners. I will always cherish the knowledge, values, and experiences gained during my Master’s journey.
Kibabii University will forever remain a cornerstone of my academic and professional growth. So God bless Kibabii University.
