KIBU Earmarked As a Centre of Excellence for Lacrosse

Kibabii University will become the centre for the lacrosse sport in Kenya. On Thursday 17th March 2022, a delegation led by the Secretary of the Kenya Lacrosse Federation Dr. Antony Akoto donated equipment to jumpstart the roadmap towards full establishment of the sport in the University.

“Kibabii University will be the first institution of higher learning in Kenya to partake the sport. We look forward to supporting and nurturing it to full realization,” Dr. Akoto said.

Kenya has been recognised as the 54th lacrosse nation by the Federation of International Lacrosse and has received awards for the development of the game on the African continent.
