Kibabii University has for the second consecutive time been recommended for ISO 9001:2015 recertification. This is after an audit by SGS, the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company that is recognized as the global benchmark for quality and integrity.
Kibabii University is audited under the scope of “University Provision of Training, Research and Extension Services for Higher Education”
The weeklong exercise which was conducted between Monday 22nd to Friday 26th August 2022 was spearheaded by SGS’s Lead Auditor Eng. David Mbindyo. It focused on examining academic and administrative processes as per the ISO 9001: 2015 Standard. According to Mbindyo, the 3-year recertification was as a result of the provision of evidences by various auditee departments as required by the Standard.
While receiving the report at a closing meeting, the Vice Chancellor Prof. Isaac Ipara Odeo was elated by the bracing spirit exhibited by the members of staff and faculty in ensuring a seamless audit exercise.
“I must commend the University community for this achievement. Our recertification is a manifestation of what each one of you has put to ensure maximum satisfaction to our customers”, he said.
The University was steered through the exercise by the Management Representative Prof. Donald Siamba Namasaka and the Directorate of Quality assurance led by the Director Dr. Munir Muganda and Coordinator Dr. Christine Nabwire closely supported by Ms. Sophy Waliaula and Mr. Blasio Omulama.
