The 12th Edition of the Champions of Governance (COG) Awards Gala 2023 organized by the Institute of Certified Secretaries was held on 1st December, 2023 at Mercure Hotel, Nairobi and many organisations from both public and private sector were in attendance.
Kibabii University one of the public universities in Kenya had submitted its entry in the Education Sector Awards 2023 where it emerged 1st Runners-Up while the Vice Chancellor of the Institution Prof. Isaac Ipara Odeo scooped the coveted Vice Chancellor of the Year Award.
The Awards are aimed at recognizing the organisations and individuals that exhibit the highest standards of good governance in line with their organization’s vision and mission. The Awards of 2023 reflects the University’s resolve to uphold best governance practices as it offers quality services in education. This achievement is a reflection of the commitment and support from Faculty, Staff and the entire Students population.
“Although this announcement was received with huge excitement, it was not really a surprise because Kibabii University has and continues to invest in good governance. But as we savour this milestone, it is important to note that this success has come out of solid team work of staff and students as well as Council stewardship. Thank you KIBU fraternity” Said the Vice Chancellor during the Gala.
