Kibabii University has been recognized as the Winner of the Most Productive University Award for the Financial Year 2024/2025 during the National Productivity and Performance Conference 2026, held at the Kenya School of Government, Nairobi, from 17th to 19th June 2026. The conference which culminated into an awards ceremony was organized by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC). It brought together key stakeholders from the public and private sectors under the theme: “Productivity for Fiscal Sustainability and Efficient Service Delivery.” The award recognizes the University’s outstanding achievements in productivity enhancement, efficient service delivery, and institutional excellence within the University Awards Category.
The ceremony was graced by His Excellency Dr. William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya, who presided over the presentation of awards to institutions that demonstrated exemplary performance and productivity.
The event attracted a diverse audience comprising senior government officials, Principal Secretaries, Governors and Deputy Governors, Chairpersons and Chief Executive Officers of Constitutional Commissions and State Corporations, University Council Chairpersons, Vice Chancellors, researchers, development partners, and representatives from the private sector.
The conference aimed to promote practical strategies for improving productivity and performance across Kenya’s public sector, enhance fiscal sustainability through efficient resource utilization and service delivery, and foster accountability, innovation, and results-oriented governance. It also provided a platform for encouraging public-private partnerships and cross-sector collaboration as drivers of national development and economic growth.
Kibabii University’s recognition reaffirms the University’s commitment to excellence, innovation, accountability, quality assurance and continuous improvement in service delivery, a testament of the dedication of the University Council, Management, staff, students, and stakeholders in advancing the University’s strategic goals and contributing to national development agenda through quality higher education, research, and community engagement.
