Dr. Muganda Munir Manini  from the School of Business  and Economics  attended a Training of Trainers Workshop on “African Regional Integration Index: Its use for Policy Development and Analysis” fully funded by the United Nations African Institute for Economic Development and Planning in Dakar, Senegal on 1st-2nd July 2019. The course aimed at providing training on African Integration Index with a view to enhance the capacity of member states and regional economic communities to develop, implement and monitor policies and programmes in the areas of intra-African and international trade and create an environment conducive to attracting investment

The major goal of this Training of Trainers (ToT) workshop was to create a large pool of experts in the measure of African regional integration. Specifically, the course aimed at deepening the knowledge of participants on the African Regional Integration Index. Fifteen of the continent best talents were drawn from various countries in Africa as experts. This pool of experts were equipped to act as trainers and consultants for African middle and senior managers in their respective member States on the African Regional Integration Index (ARII) and also in presential courses. Selected candidates were also included in the IDEP panel of experts.
