Kibabii University Forges Strategic Partnerships to Advance Technology Training and Innovation

Kibabii University has taken a significant leap forward in expanding its technological training and research capabilities by signing two Collaborative Agreements (CAs) on Tuesday, 27th January 2026. The signing ceremony, presided over by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Isaac Ipara Odeo, marks the beginning of strategic partnerships with Customized Aviation Solutions Limited (CASL) and PTGR AG of Switzerland. These collaborations are designed to equip students, staff, and the wider community with cutting-edge, industry-relevant skills in high-demand fields, reinforcing KIBU’s role as a leader in science, technology, and innovation.

The partnership with Customized Aviation Solutions Limited (CASL) establishes a framework for excellence in aviation and drone technology. Key initiatives include offering certified professional courses such as the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) Remote Pilot License and specialized short courses in Precision Agriculture, AI in Agriculture, and Drones for Environmental Monitoring. As an exclusive benefit, CASL will provide fully-funded training for the first five (5) KIBU staff members who register, alongside student internship opportunities and the establishment of a dedicated Drone Innovation and Demonstration Hub on campus.

In another agreement, the collaboration with PTGR AG of Switzerland focuses on the digital frontier, providing KIBU students access to PTGR’s Self-Study Program in Blockchain and Web 3.0 at a special rate, opportunities for onsite and online instructor-led courses, and pathways for professional certification and joint credentialing.
