Kibabii University Connects Private Hostel Landlords to Students through “Jiunge”

Kibabii University Connects Private Hostel Landlords to Students through “Jiunge”On Monday 9th November, 2020 Kibabii University through the Office of the Dean of Students held a meeting between Abno Softwares International and private hostels landlords’ representatives at the Dean of Students Office in an initiative geared towards linking the private hostel owners with potential clients (students) through a common platform. The initiative will aid the search and identification of hostels especially by new students as well as ensuring quality and price controls to avoid exploitation.

The Dean of Students, Dr. Alice Chemutai in support of the initiative, said that the partnership will benefit the landowners to get more clients (students) into their hostels while also benefitting from easier rent collection.

The dean further encouraged the landlords to install WIFI in their hostels to encourage more students into their apartments more particularly during this period when KIBU is heading towards online classes as compared to face to face learning that was famously before.

The chairman of the landlord representative welcomed the idea fully, stating that the initiative would complement their manual means of getting tenants.
