Kibabii University Condoles with Kenyatta University

Kibabii University’s Office of the Dean of Students held a prayer service to celebrate the lives of the Kenyatta University students who perished in a tragic road accident while headed to Mombasa for an academic trip. The somber service was led by the University Chaplain, Rev. Fr. Dr. Leonard Juma at the Auditorium C, and graced by the Vice Chancellor, University Staff and Students.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Isaac Ipara Odeo noted that it was indeed a sad day since the news of the accident broke out claiming the lives of eleven Kenyatta University comrades. He said the day was one to remember the comrades who lost their lives, pray for their departed souls, families, colleagues and classmates. He reminded the congregation that death was inevitable and that those of us who are still alive have an opportunity to pray for our friends and mend our ways.

Other senior members of Management who expressed their sympathies during included the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Administration, Finance and Development, Prof. Donald Siamba, Ag. Deputy Vice Chancellor, Partnerships, Planning, Research and Innovation, Prof. Munir Muganda, Ag. Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Stanley Mutsotso, and student leaders Virginia Chege and Peter Kakaya.
