Kibabii University (KIBU) signed a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with AA Kenya (AAK) to provide accredited driver training and road safety education to students, staff, and the wider community. The signing ceremony, held on 19th December, 2025 was led by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Isaac Ipara Odeo. Also present were Deputy Vice Chancellor (Planning, Partnerships, Research and Innovation) Prof. Julius Maiyo, the Legal Officer Ms. Jacqueline Wanjala, the Coordinator for Linkages and International Affairs Dr. Jacinta Mutwiwa, Transport Officer Ms. Ruth Tali alongside AA Kenya’s Business Development Manager Mr. Nigel Morara and Valuation Officer Mr. Kelvin Mumbai.
This partnership offers KIBU students and staff access to NTSA-accredited courses for motorcycle and light vehicle licences at preferential rates, with convenient university-facilitated registration, professional training by licensed instructors, defensive driving modules, and comprehensive insurance coverage. The collaboration also includes joint road safety campaigns and community outreach programs, reinforcing a shared commitment to skill development and safety awareness.
