Internal Advertisement for Teaching and Administrative Vacancies

Pursuant to Part IV Section 23 of the Kibabii University Charter 2015, and Kibabii University Statutes 2019, the University invites applications from suitably qualified applicants for the following vacant positions:

Requirements for Appointment:

LECTURER

 Applicants should have:

1. An earned PhD or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant field from accredited and recognized University;
2. A minimum of 24 publication points of which at least sixteen (16) should be from refereed journal papers; and
3. Registered with the relevant Professional Body (where applicable).

 TUTORIAL FELLOW

 Applicants should have:

1. Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree qualification from accredited and recognized University in the relevant field;
2. Be registerable for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent Doctoral degree qualification; and
3. Be registered or registerable with the relevant professional body (where applicable).

Terms and Conditions:

The successful candidates shall hold office on a contract period of one (1) year in accordance with terms and conditions of service as approved by University Council from time to time.

GRADUATE ASSISTANT

 Applicants should have:

1. A Former Undergraduate Student of Kibabii University KIBU/KIBUCO for 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, OR 2019 Graduation Years who scored First Class Honours;

OR

2. Former undergraduate student of Kibabii University/KIBUCO for 2015, 2016 or 2017 Graduation years who scored Second Class Honors with sixty nine (69) points and served in the Students Governing Council with distinction;
3. Must be admitted for a graduate program at KIBU;
4. Evidence of Progress Record towards attainment of Master’s degree; and
5. A Student /Graduate /Teaching /Research Assistant is not permitted to hold a Graduate Assistantship at KIBU Concurrently with the employment or Assistantship at any other College/University/Institution.

Terms and Conditions:

The successful candidates shall hold office on a contract period of one (1) year in accordance with terms and conditions of service as approved by University Council from time to time.

ADMINISTRATIVE VACANCIES

Kibabii University Management wishes to invite interested persons on contract terms of service for a period NOT EXCEEDING THREE (3) MONTHS for the following vacancy.

VCT/HTC COUNSELLOR

Applicants should have:

1. Certificate in Community Health, Social Work or Community Development AND a Certificate in HIV/AIDS Counseling and Testing (HTC);
2. Certificate in patient attendant (Nurse Aid);
3. First Aid Certificate;
4. Infection Prevention Certificate;
5. ICT Competence; and
6. 3 years’ work experience as a VCT Counselor in a busy VCT Clinic, hospital or any health recognized institution.
