IGU Planting Fodder at the University Farm

The Directorate of Privately Self Sponsored Students Program and Other Income Generating Units planting fodder; Desmodium uncinatum, Brachiaria grass and Napier grass variety Ouma at the main campus farm on 15th May, 2019. Fodder is the source of crude protein for animals. Income Generating Units (IGU) is anticipating to have a dairy animal in the new financial year. The department will come up with a total mixed ratio of animal feed which is a concentration of various nutrients. Already IGU is working with Prof. Siamba an expert in animal science to come up with a total mixed ratio which IGU intends to patent as an innovation and commercialize
