The National 7s Circuit came to an end on Sunday 17th during the Kakamega 7s hosted at the “Bull Ring” in Kakamega Town.
Kibabii University, who were partaking the Circuit for the first-time finished 6th after losing narrowly to University of Eldoret at the 5th place finals.
In the build up to the to the knockouts, KIBU beat United States International University (USIU) 24-00 and received a 28-00 walkover against Egerton University before beating Kiambu Stallions 22-12 to book a Main Cup quarter finals slot.
At the Main Cup quarters, KIBU lost 14-19 to South Coast Pirates to drop to the 5th place semis where they beat Busia Border Rucks 29-00 in a one-sided match.
The Blues now switch onto the 15-aside preparations as they wait for the Nationwide League later in November.
