With all humility, I thank the Almighty God for my transformative educational experience in a serene and friendly environment at Kibabii University. I regard my attainment of this Doctoral degree as one of the manifestation of God’s blessings to me and my family. Besides being a grand step in my dream to walk the path of academia, it is a fulfilment of my lifelong desire to put my intellectual ability to test.

Upon receiving my Master’s degree in 2021, I enrolled for my doctoral degree in Curriculum and Instruction in the Department of Curriculum and Pedagogy in December of the same year. Armed with sheer optimism and thirst for more knowledge, I embarked on an exciting journey characterized by several challenges. I realized that this level of academic pursuit required a higher scope and depth of intellectual rigor. To this end, I note with unending appreciation that Kibabii University provided the best academic environment that I needed. I’m indebted to all my lecturers who encouraged and supported me while delivering on their mandate.  I do not remember missing lecture sessions. Their flexible but strict adherence to the stipulated timelines enabled me blend my studies with my demanding work schedule till the successful end. I sincerely thank my supervisors Dr. Edwin Masibo and Dr. Rose Mutende as well as my correction supervisor Dr. Carolyne Nabwoba for their determination to keep me on course till the end. I learnt a lot from their guidance, correction and encouragement throughout the entire course duration. Further, I will forever remain grateful to my wife and children for their encouragement, goodwill and support during this long journey. They took it upon themselves as their assignment to ensure that I succeed.
