Another Win for Kibabii University!

Kibabii University celebrates yet another achievement after emerging winner in the Most Inclusive Public University category in the National Diversity and Inclusion Awards and Recognition (DIAR Awards) organized by Daima Trust. DIAR Awards celebrates and awards government agencies, companies, NGOs, CSOs and individuals Championing Diversity and Promoting Inclusion, Equality and Equity in Kenya. The University was recognized and awarded a Trophy during the DIAR 4th Edition Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony attended by the Chairman of Council and the Vice Chancellor on Friday 18th March, 2022 at Sarit Centre, Nairobi.

The theme for this year’s event was; Celebrating Champions of D.E.I – Turning our Differences into Strengths.

In his remarks, the Chief Guest, Commissioner Rev. Dr. Samuel Kobia, Chairman, National Cohesion and Integration Commission encouraged all to be humane human beings ensuring Inclusion, Equality and Equity in Kenya.

He challenged everyone to always ensure that whatever is done at whatever level should ensure inclusivity.

“Let us make all our engagements inclusive. We must show people living with disability that they are differently abled,” he said.

While presenting the Award to Kibabii University Vice Chancellor Prof. Isaac Ipara Odeo, the Chief Guest congratulated winners and challenged them to sustain and upscale compliance.
