CPA Paul Rushdie Russo, EBS has been appointed as the Chancellor of Kibabii University by H.E. Hon. Dr. William Samoei Ruto, the President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander in Chief of the Defence Forces vide Gazette Notice No. 4802 with effect from 2nd April, 2026.
He is the second Chancellor after H.E. Hon. Uhuru Kenyatta, the Fourth President of the Republic of Kenya who was installed as the First Chancellor after Kibabii University’s award of Charter on 14th November, 2015 to become the 23rd Fully fledged public university.
CPA Paul Russo is a Kenyan human resources management professional, businessman and corporate executive, who was appointed as the Group CEO at Kenya Commercial Bank Group effective 25 May, 2022. Prior to his current assignment, he was the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer at National Bank of Kenya (NBK), a subsidiary of KCB Bank Kenya, acquired in 2019.
