The Kenya Accreditation Service (KENAS) Pays a Courtesy Call to Kibabii University

KENAS paid a courtesy call to Kibabii University on 31st May, 2024. Led by the CEO, Dr. Walter Ongeti, and the Manager, Scheme Development, Training and Advocacy, Joyce Gichuru, the team toured Kibabii University’s science laboratories as the University gears up for the accreditation process.

The team was received by Prof. Stanley Mutsotso who represented the Vice Chancellor Prof. Isaac Ipara Odeo. Prof. Mutsotso said that the visit was very timely considering that the University had already applied for accreditation and the matter had been raised with the University Management Board for further action.

Dr. Ongeti noted that KENAS (Kenya Accreditation Service) accreditation provides numerous benefits to organizations, consumers, and stakeholders involved. Once Kibabii University is accredited, it shall be set to enjoy a myriad of benefits not limited to credibility and trust, operational efficiency, market access, risk management, regulatory compliance among many others. The team was quite impressed by the unique facilities and well-equipped laboratories at Kibabii University and urged the management to fully maximize them for the benefit of society.
