Kibabii University (KIBU) continues to strengthen its international presence through strategic global partnerships under the Erasmus+ Programme. On Tuesday, 27th January 2026, the University hosted Dr. Sanela Ravli? from the University of Applied Sciences Baltazar Zapreši?, Croatia.
The visit was undertaken under an Erasmus+ funded project coordinated by the Project Principal Investigator, Dr. Kadian Wanyonyi Wanyama. It forms part of a bilateral cooperation agreement running from 2024 to 2029, aimed at promoting academic mobility, joint research, and shared learning experiences for staff and students from both universities.
Dr. Ravli? was received by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Isaac Ipara Odeo, and engaged extensively with members of staff and students during her visit. A major highlight was a public lecture that attracted wide participation from staff and students from the School of Business and Economics and sparked rich academic discussion, underscoring the value of cross-cultural and international scholarly exchange.
The lecture was also attended by members of Management, including the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Planning, Partnerships, Research & Innovation) Prof. Julius K. Maiyo, Dr. Kadian Wanyonyi Wanyama, Dr. Sylvia Chebet Sirai, Dr. Brian Singoro, Dr. Paul Obino, Director of Partnerships and Linkages; and Dr. Jacinta Mutwiwa, Coordinator of Linkages and International Affairs.
In line with the reciprocal nature of the partnership, Kibabii University has nominated staff and students for Erasmus+ training mobility to Croatia. The nominees include faculty members; Dr. Kadian Wanyonyi Wanyama and Dr. Sylvia Chebet Sirai, alongside students; Wanyama Nakhumicha Salome, Osukenya Patrick Oliba, and Michael Waswa Isaac.
This visit reinforces the strong foundation of the Erasmus+ partnership and sets the stage for further exchanges, workshops, and collaborative academic activities under the 2024–2029 cooperation framework.
