CALL FOR PAPERS, POSTERS AND EXHIBITS

THEME: “Enhancing Food Security and Universal Health Care for Sustainable Development”

Conference Objective: The conference aims to provide a forum for academicians, practitioners, development partners, researchers, students and other stakeholders to present their research and expert opinions on contemporary issues in food nutrition and universal health care. The Focus of the Conference is on the “Big 4” National Agenda with more emphasis on food security and the universal health care.

ABSTRACT
Presenters of papers or posters should send an abstract of not more than 300 words in English, typed in Times New Roman, Font 12, spacing 1.5, margins 1 inch all sides and be received by 3^rd May 2019 through the email: conference19@kibu.ac.ke. The abstract should include background, objectives, methodology, results and conclusion. It should also include the Title, author’s name, affiliation institution, email address, phone number and subtheme.

FULL PAPERS
The full papers for accepted abstracts should be submitted by 17^th May 2019. The full papers should be 3000 to 5000 words, prepared in Times New Romans Font 12, spacing 1.5.

Empirical papers: Cover page with Title of Paper, Abstract (300 words), Key words (maximum 5), Introduction, Material and Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion and Recommendations,

Posters: Height 80cm Width 60cm or A1paper.

References: Use APA style 6^th edition; avoid footnotes. Avoid references in abstract

Appendices: Should follow references

CONFERENCE PRODUCTS

Reviewed papers will be published in a book as conference proceedings and the best papers will be considered for publication in the Kibabii University Journal. The best presentation in each category will be awarded a certificate of excellence; and all participants will be awarded certificate of participation.

CONFERENCE FEES

The fee will cover conference facilities, equipment, materials, mid- morning tea, afternoon tea and lunch. It does not include accommodation, dinner and travel expenses. There are good hotels with accommodation in town.
