Welcome to Kenya, Bungoma, and Kibabii University!
The Directorate of Partnerships and Linkages (DPL) is delighted to welcome you and looks forward to supporting you throughout your academic journey.

This guide is designed to help you prepare for your travel and settle comfortably into life at Kibabii University.

Visa Application

Kenya eVisa

Kenya operates an electronic visa (eVisa) system, which allows travelers from eligible countries to apply online before arrival.

  • Applicants must hold a passport valid for at least six (6) months
  • Applications should be submitted at least 2–3 days before travel
  • The standard visitor visa allows a stay of up to 90 days

Students are encouraged to check eligibility and apply through the official immigration portal.

Before traveling to Kenya, ensure you carry all essential documents in your carry-on luggage, including:

  • Valid passport
  • Approved visa

It is advisable to arrive with a small amount of Kenyan currency for immediate expenses:

  • Recommended: KES 5,000 – 10,000 in small denominations
  • For use on arrival (transport, meals, basic supplies)

Avoid carrying large amounts of cash for security reasons.
