Dean, School of Education

The School of Education is committed to advancing excellence in teacher education, educational research, and professional practice to support quality learning at all levels of society. Anchored in academic rigor, ethical leadership, innovation, and the responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI), the School prepares educators, researchers, and education professionals who are responsive to contemporary educational needs, national priorities, and global trends.

Our academic programmes span teacher education, educational leadership, curriculum and instruction, educational psychology, and inclusive education. The School has aligned all its Teacher Education Programmes with the Competency Based Curriculum (CBC), ensuring that graduates are equipped with learner-centered pedagogical skills, practical competencies, and modern assessment approaches. Teaching and learning emphasize strong pedagogical foundations, critical inquiry, reflective practice, digital literacy, and the effective integration of AI-enabled tools to enhance teaching, assessment, and personalized learning outcomes.

Research is a central pillar of the School’s mission. Faculty members actively engage in applied and interdisciplinary research addressing key issues such as curriculum reform, teacher professional development, educational policy, assessment and evaluation, inclusive education, educational innovation, and the ethical application of AI in education. Through competitive research grants and scholarly collaboration, the School contributes to evidence-based practice, policy development, and the continuous improvement of education systems.

The School of Education values strong partnerships with schools, education agencies, communities, and development partners. These collaborations support teaching practice, mentorship, educational research, and community engagement, while promoting the responsible adoption of educational technologies and AI-driven learning solutions. The School also advances continuous professional development through training, workshops, and outreach initiatives that prepare educators to effectively use AI and digital tools in CBC-aligned classrooms.

As the School of Education continues to grow, it remains committed to nurturing excellence in teaching, impactful research, leadership development, and innovation. By preparing competent, reflective, and future-ready educators aligned with the Competency Based Curriculum and equipped with AI-enhanced pedagogical skills, the School plays a vital role in shaping inclusive, relevant, and sustainable education systems for the future.
