Rituals play an integral part in the life of practitioners. In Africa rituals express a need to communicate with the supernatural forces especially ancestors whose spirits are believed to be still alive. The main purpose of the study was to examine religious rituals and their impact on socio-economic of congregants of Luong Mogik<\/em> church, Kisumu County. The objectives of the study included: To explore specific ritual practised in the \u2018Luong Mogik<\/em> Church, to establish the socio-economic activities practiced by the members of \u2018Luong Mogik<\/em> church and to assess the effects of rituals on the socio-economic life of the members of the Church. The study focused on the mixed designs and was grounded on the Social Capital Theory propounded by Putnam. The study was conducted in Kisumu Central Sub-county, in Kisumu County, it involved the use of primary and secondary data. The primary data was obtained through participant observation, focused group discussion, oral interview and administering questionnaires. Secondary data was collected through the analysis of the documents such as e-books, books, journals, dissertations and review of commentaries. The targeted population was: directors, pastors, deacons and \u00a0women Leaders, youths and the adult members of the church who were well versed with information pertaining the church. The study employed both purposive and snowball sampling techniques to generate the sample size of 135.\u00a0\u00a0 The data was analysed both qualitatively and quantitatively and presented in textual, tabular and diagrammatical and was stored in a CD. The collected Data was believed to be important to members of the Luong Mogik <\/em>Churches and scholars operating under the same field. This added weight to the importance of observation of religious rituals. The key findings revealed that the specific rituals performed by Luong Mogik<\/em> Church are, refraining from what they term as worldly 103(77%),ritual cleansing in case of impurities 115(85%), punishing of the sinning members122(90%) and the church sticking on particular attires during worship126(93%).The findings revealed that the socio-economic activities carried out in Luong Mogik<\/em> church were, Church engaging in relief services126(93%),offering employment opportunities 112(88%),entrepreneurial opportunities 122(90%),improvement of the resources and Church partnership115(85). Lastly the results established that religious rituals practiced by the members of Luong Mogik<\/em> Church has great impact on the socio-economic organization of the practitioners. These effects are either positive or negative. The study recommends for more intensive researches to be carried out on other religious institutions to ascertain the influence of religious ritual on their socio-economic life.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
