important role it plays in a growing world of economy. Accordingly, various organizations are becoming increasingly beneficial from continuous investment in the information technology as well as the use of it. This study aims to illustrate what it entails to set up an information technology infrastructure in an organization. The paper further attempts to elucidate the extent of information technology as a functional area within an organization from the employer perspective.
