otherwise regarded as clean such as the insurance industry. This paper reviews the preparedness of the insurance industry in developing nations towards adoption of green Information and Communication Technology (ICT). This preparedness, sometimes called Green Readiness (G-readiness) was surveyed on five insurance firms. In addition, a desktop survey was undertaken by the study of secondary data with regard to green computing. The study established that the existing frameworks of G-readiness may not necessarily apply in the insurance industry in developing nations. A modification of the existing frameworks is necessary for them to be applicable to the insurance industry in developing nations.
