
Biography
Prof. Robert Kati is a distinguished scholar in Mathematics Education and a seasoned university administrator currently serving as the Dean of the School of Graduate Studies (SGS) at Kibabii University, Kenya. He holds a PhD in Mathematics Pedagogy, a Master of Science in Mathematics Education, and a Bachelor of Education (Science). In addition, he is a holder of an International Postgraduate Diploma in Corporate Governance and Strategic Leadership, and has successfully completed the CREST Online Training Course for Supervisors of Doctoral Candidates at African Universities, equipping him with advanced competencies in doctoral mentorship, research ethics, and postgraduate supervision. With an extensive teaching experience, and a growing portfolio of collaborative research and postgraduate leadership, Prof. Kati has become a core figure in strengthening graduate research systems, supervision quality, and scholarly output within the East African higher-education landscape. His leadership philosophy integrates academic rigor, supportive supervision, strong governance systems, and research integrity, key pillars for enhancing graduate training and ensuring timely completion of Master’s and doctoral programmes. He is a good-natured individual who relates very well with people.
