Biography

Biostatistician and mathematical modeller with over two decades of experience in applied statistics, epidemiological modelling, and climate data analysis. Specialist in Bayesian spatial modelling, disease transmission dynamics, and statistical climatology. Combines deep quantitative expertise with sustained community engagement leadership, having chaired Kibabii University’s Community Outreach Committee since 2014 — coordinating health, environmental, and climate-related programmes across Bungoma County recognised with the national Kenya Red Cross Top Social Responsibility Award. Prior direct engagement with the Mt. Elgon ecosystem through JICA-funded flood management research (2010) and Lake Victoria North Water Board environmental surveys (2010). Committed to translating statistical science into evidence-based public health and climate policy in East Africa.
