Biography
Dr. Janet Nabiswa is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Educational Psychology in Kibabii University, Kenya. She holds a bachelor’s degree in education having studied Kiswahili and Geography, a master’s degree in educational Guidance and Counseling and a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Psychology. She is a career teacher and trainer with 31 years’ experience besides being involved in counseling and consultancy among schools, tertiary institutions and communities within Kenya. Apart from lecturing, she regularly participates in international conferences, workshops, and seminars on social challenges facing students with a view to enhance deviance mitigation. She is a mentor and professional life-skills coach. Her career objective is to empower young people with skills that can secure a healthy and informed career path throughout their education. As a Counselor and Educational Psychologist, Dr. Nabiswa finds it quite fulfilling in belonging to teams that seek to unearth strategies that will cushion the young generation as they make informed career decisions.
