International students intending to study at Kibabii University are required to obtain the appropriate immigration documentation before commencing their studies in Kenya.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Kenya Student Pass<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

All international students must obtain a valid Kenya Student Pass<\/strong> prior to enrollment. This pass is issued in accordance with the Kenya Citizenship and Immigration Regulations (2012) to foreign nationals admitted to recognized educational institutions in Kenya.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Application Procedure<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The application process is conducted online through the Government of Kenya immigration portal:<\/p>

  1. Register on the eFNS Portal<\/strong>
    Create an account via the official immigration portal: fns.immigration.go.ke<\/em><\/li>
  2. Submit Student Pass Application<\/strong>
    Complete the online application and print Form 30<\/strong>, attaching all required documents.<\/li>
  3. Obtain Institutional Support<\/strong>
    Secure a cover letter from the University Registrar to support your application.<\/li>
  4. Application Review and Approval<\/strong>
    Once approved, you will receive a notification indicating the applicable fees and payment deadline.
    (Note: Students from East African Community (EAC) member states may be exempt from student pass fees.)<\/em><\/li>
  5. Payment of Fees<\/strong>
    Payments are made online via the eFNS portal. An official invoice will be generated upon payment.<\/li>
  6. Issuance and Collection<\/strong>
    Upon approval, you will be notified when your student pass is ready for collection.<\/li>
  7. Endorsement<\/strong>
    The issued student pass must be endorsed in your passport at the Immigration Office.<\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    • Student Pass Fee:<\/strong> KES 5,000 per year (for non-East African Community students)<\/li>
    • Research Pass Fee:<\/strong> KES 15,000<\/li>
    • Processing\/Facilitation Fee:<\/strong> KES 2,700<\/li>
    • International Student Registration Fee:<\/strong> KES 4,500<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

      Applicants must submit the following documents:<\/p>

      • Signed commitment letter from sponsor (if applicable)<\/li>
      • Copy of sponsor\u2019s national passport<\/li>
      • Proof of funds (for self-sponsored students)<\/li>
      • Copy of valid national passport (bio-data page)<\/li>
      • Current immigration status (if already in Kenya)<\/li>
      • Two recent passport-size colour photographs<\/li>
      • Certified copies of academic certificates (for new applicants)<\/li>
      • Certified academic transcripts (for renewals)<\/li>
      • Copy of previous student pass (for renewals)<\/li>
      • Police Clearance Certificate from country of origin or Kenya Police Service<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

        Research \/ Internship Pass<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

        This pass is issued to individuals intending to undertake academic research or internships in Kenya. Applicants must be accepted by a recognized institution.<\/p>

        Requirements<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

        • Duly completed and signed Form 30<\/strong><\/li>
        • Official cover letter from the host institution detailing the research\/internship and duration<\/li>
        • Copy of valid passport (bio-data page)<\/li>
        • Current immigration status (if applicable)<\/li>
        • Two passport-size photographs<\/li>
        • Certified academic certificates and CV<\/li>
        • Research permit from the National Commission for Science, Technology and Innovation (for research applicants)<\/li>
        • Police Clearance Certificate<\/li>
        • Translated documents (if not in English) certified by authorized bodies<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

          • Submit your application under the relevant category (Student\/Research\/Internship Pass)<\/li>
          • Track your application status via your dashboard<\/li>
          • Make payments online or via designated immigration offices if necessary<\/li><\/ul>
