KIBU Unites in Prayer as Calls for Diversity Inspire the Prayer Breakfast

On Friday, 31st January, the University community gathered for a prayer breakfast under the Theme: “Appreciating God-Given Diversity: Growing Stronger Together.” The event, organized by the Office of the Registrar (Administration and Human Resource), emphasized unity, faith, and collective strength within the University. The prayer breakfast was sponsored by Diamond Trust Bank (DTB) who were represented by the Bungoma Branch Manager, Mr. Graham Iravonga.

In his remarks, the Vice Chancellor Prof. Isaac Ipara Odeo encouraged staff to embrace teamwork, using the analogy of Lake Victoria, whose waters originate as a small source and eventually grows into a vast water body at the Mediterranean Sea through the Nile River in Egypt. He cited the KIBU Research Crack Team as a testament to the power of unity, noting that the team has secured multi-million grants over the past two years through collaborative efforts.

The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Robert Wafula, a renowned evangelist and mentor. He shared insights from Genesis 49:1-12 and Galatians 3:27-28, emphasizing the role of faith and diversity in fostering growth.

Also in attendance was the leadership of the Student Organization of Kibabii University (SOKU), led by the President Ms. Elizabeth Kemunto, reaffirming the student body’s commitment to the University’s values.
