KIBU to Host Kenya National Universities Sports Federation Games

Preparations are in top gear as Kibabii University looks forward to hosting the National Universities Games between 18th and 21st December, 2021.

A team led by the National Executive Secretary Mr. Joseph Sandagi Kidake that visited the University on Friday 1st October, 2021 launched a Local Organizing Committee in preparation for the tourney. After inspection of facilities, the team was satisfied with KIBU’s capacity to host the event that shall bring together over 30 universities across the country.

“We are amazed with the status of the sporting and accommodation facilities for our sportsmen. We look forward to a fruitful tournament,” said Sandagi. He urged the Local Organizing Committee to speed up preparations to make it a success.

He was accompanied by Mr. Kibet Rono (National Treasurer), Akaka Shisoka (Western Chairman), Abraham Ong’ong’a (Western Secretary) and David Obungu (Western Treasurer).

The Local Organizing Committee is led by the Acting Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic & Student Affairs) Prof. Julius Maiyo.
