Kibabii University Taekwondo team recorded stellar performance, winning three Gold medals at the African Open Series Zone 5, held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The competition, which brought together top athletes from across the region, took place on 22nd April, 2025. The event featured matches in the Cadet, Junior, and Senior divisions.
Patience Neema Mwagandi, a third-year Criminology student, alongside alumni Faith Ogallo and Julie Musangi, competing in the Senior category delivered an exceptional performance, with each of them winning a Gold medal.
Ms. Mwagandi’s victory was particularly notable as it secured her qualification for the upcoming African Grand Prix Finals to be held in Mali, marking another milestone in her promising Taekwondo career.
