ABSA Group Joins Kibabii University in Celebrating Cultural Week 2025

The 2025 Cultural Week celebrations entered their second day with performances, crowned by a visit from officials of the ABSA Bank Group. In a show of goodwill and partnership, the ABSA delegation led by Mr. Abeud Simiyu, Bungoma Branch Manager, and Mr. Mark Ouma, Acting Operations Manager paid a courtesy call on the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic and Student Affairs), Prof. Joshua Ogendo.

During the visit, the ABSA officials presented five footballs to support the ongoing Cultural Week Tournament, whose finals will be held on Saturday, 1st November 2025. The tournament will culminate in an awards ceremony recognizing outstanding sportsmen and women who have showcased exemplary talent and teamwork throughout the week.

As part of the week’s grand finale, the ABSA football team will face off against Kibabii University’s team in a friendly match on Saturday. The much-anticipated encounter promises to be a highlight of the celebrations, bringing together students, staff, and guests in the true spirit of sportsmanship and unity.

After the courtesy visit, the ABSA team joined students and staff at the University Auditorium, where they enjoyed captivating cultural performances in music, dance, and spoken word. Their presence energized the festivities and underscored ABSA’s commitment to promoting youth talent, cultural diversity, and community engagement.
